General Information: This is the last week you will receive new assignments. After this week the two final weeks will be dedicated to focusing on finishing any incomplete work and other activities to help reinforce your understanding of what we learned this trimester.

    • Select and read “Week 35: California Government” publication
    • Take the test on the Studies Weekly site or on paper. When you take the test you can look at the article to help answer the questions.

4th/5th Science 5/19-5/22

General Information: This will be the last week you will be receiving new work. The last two weeks will be dedicated to finishing any unfinished work.

Tuesday and Wednesday

Lesson 4: Energy: The Source

    • Use the “Daily Record” sheet to record one days worth of activities and what you eat for meals and snacks. Use the example to help you complete your form.
    • After tracking all of your activities and food for a day, complete the workbook pages “Food’s Journey”.
      • On question 2 think of all things that allow different types of animals to survive. Pick a local animal as an example to explain all the natural systems it utilizes to survive.
      • On Question 3, think of the food chains you made in lesson three and try to trace back to the producers as to where the material and energy came to make your food.

Lesson 5: Natural Resources:The Source of it All

    • Read through “California Indian’s Use of Plants”
    • Use the reading to complete the workbook pages “Using Plants Then and Now”.
